2022 — Branding / Web Design / Social Media

 

Founded in 2022 by senior hair stylist Tiffany Dasilva, Golden Hour Collective is a collaborative studio space with a focus on beauty services and inclusivity. I was honoured to brand the salon, as well as create their website + social media assets (and paint a couple of murals too. 👀)

Brand Identity

Retro – Funky – Welcoming

Tiffany’s mood board for decorating the salon was an absolute blast to draw inspiration from, full of warm colours, earthy textures, and funky retro-inspired pieces. We went with a bold + chunky serif (the infamous Bookmania) and I made use of it’s beautiful collection of swashes and my BFF the pen tool to customize the wordmarks.

I created a warm, vintage-inspired colour palette of mustard yellow, rust orange, and what we affectionately dubbed “swamp green” and incorporated sparkles + a custom sunburst – which was also used to create a cutie lil sun mascot. ☀️

 

Website Design

Squarespace | As a service-based business, Golden Hour needed a website that was cute but functional. I focused on clean organization and strong visual hierarchy so that clients could easily find the info they were looking for, and added pops of colour + fun visual details to capture the space’s welcoming, friendly vibe.

Social Media

For a cohesive experience, I’ve also created an ongoing collection of social media graphics for the salon to use on Instagram to promote sales, events, and other bits of info!
